Jayme & Kyle
Wedding at La Jolla Woman’s Club
San Diego, California
Photographing Kyle and Jayme’s wedding in La Jolla, San Diego was truly special. I first met them a year prior during their engagement session in Angeles National Forest near Los Angeles, so hearing they were planning a coastal wedding in La Jolla had me excited from the start.
The day began cool and cloudy along the La Jolla coastline, setting a calm and serene tone for the celebration. Their ceremony took place at St. James by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, a charming historic church just a block from the ocean. With its wooden ceilings and soft, dim lighting, it created an intimate and emotional space for Kyle and Jayme to exchange their vows.
After the ceremony, we walked across the street to the La Jolla Woman’s Club, where the reception unfolded with dancing, laughter, and moments that felt effortlessly real. From heartfelt speeches to packed dance floors, it was the kind of celebration that reminds me why I love being a Southern California wedding photographer.
It genuinely means a lot to document people like Kyle and Jayme, not just as clients, but as people I’ve had the chance to photograph over time. Being trusted to capture both their engagement session in Los Angeles and their wedding day in San Diego is something I don’t take lightly.
La Jolla is one of the most beautiful places for a wedding in Southern California, and I know I’ll think about this day every time I’m back by the coast. This is easily one of my most memorable wedding days.
